The Greatest Love Story Ever Told
- Still His

There is a love so relentless, so unreasonably generous, that it split the sky open and sent the Son of God into a world that would break Him. It is not a myth, not a poetic exaggeration. It is the story that redefined every other:
“For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son…” (John 3:16).
He didn’t send Him to kings or palaces. He didn’t shield Him from betrayal, pain, or death. No—He gave Him to us— To the selfish and the sceptical. To the bruised, the proud, the pitiful.
To me.
As a mother, the idea unravels me: to hand over your child, not for the righteous but for rebels, not for gratitude but for rejection. Could I ever give something so pure to people so indifferent? God did.
And Jesus didn’t resist the cross—He embraced it. He saw every wound we would cause. He heard every denial, every insult, every silence. And still, He walked.
“But God shows His love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
The Perfect willingly accepts condemnation so that the condemned may become chosen.
If you’re wondering why hearts grow cold or faith feels distant, perhaps it’s because this truth has become too familiar. We’ve heard of the cross but forgotten how it breaks us open.
Yet this love-this bloody, holy, impossible love—is waiting to reawaken us. We were the wretches. He was the Lamb. And still, He loved us.
The Cross is the most incredible story—our story. Let it shatter you, then remake you.
“See what kind of love the Father has lavished upon us, that we should be called children of God—and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)
