You were born in the flesh — created by God with a purpose.
But what is it you're really seeking today? And are you searching for truth in the right places?
Are you looking for answers at the bottom of a bottle of rum or brandy? In cocaine or crack? Is that where you expect truth to reside? Will you truly be satisfied with what you find when your mind is numb and your body wrecked? When you're hunched over, vomiting on the floor, is that the truth you're prepared to live by... or die with?
Will the end of your search lead to joy and fulfilment — or will it leave you broken, still empty, and worse off than when you began? The path you choose to seek truth will determine your destiny.
Choose wisely.
Lost in the Search - Seeker, isn't you who carries this deep, restless longing — a desire to know something greater, something missing, though you can't quite put your finger on it?
But instead of turning to the source of truth, you wander aimlessly. The answer stares you in the face, yet you look everywhere else. You chase illusions, distractions, and false comforts, winding your way down a road that leads only to more confusion — maybe even destruction.
Before you know it, the search becomes a noose tightening around your soul.
You've bypassed the one thing — the One Person — who can give you what you truly need. You've ignored the truth that's been calling your name.
The Ancient Hunger
Yes, we are all seekers. This longing didn't begin with you—it began in Eden, when Adam and Eve lost their perfect communion with God. Since then, humanity has been searching—searching for what was lost, searching for the God who once walked with us in the cool of the day.
We search for peace, security, meaning, and love. Yet instead of turning within, to the part of us that still bears His image—our soul—we look outward. Too often, we find lies. We feed on them. We let them guide us into deeper darkness.
The soul, the very part of us that connects with the truth, becomes corrupted, blocked, and twisted. We see with our eyes but not with our hearts. We chase shadows while the Light waits patiently.
The Truth is Calling
Yes, we are all seekers of truth, but many find only deception because they do not seek with their whole hearts. The Scriptures urge us to return from the depths of our being, not just in ritual or outward appearance, but in sincerity. Your search for truth must be sincere, not just a superficial quest.
Afterwards shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days.— Hosea 3:5
Rend your heart and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness...— Joel 2:13
Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart.— Psalm 119:2
A Final Word to the Seeker
If you desire truth and are tired of illusions, pain, and dead ends, stop searching with your eyes alone. The truth is not found in a substance or a temporary high. It cannot be bought or earned.
Truth is a Person — Jesus Christ. And He says:
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me.— John 14:6
Search for Him with your whole heart and soul — and you will find Him. There is hope in your
search, and it is within your reach.
Footnote:
So many will chase truth with their eyes, but I tell you this: Truth is not a thing to be seen—it is a Person to be known. To find Him, you must search with what He fashioned for Himself: your heart and soul. Only then will the chains of lies shatter, and true freedom begin.
I can testify to this because I, too, was lost. I drank the world’s antidotes—brandy to numb, gloominess to occupy—but the ache grew louder. For years, I thought the absence of pain was peace and numbness was the answer. But I soon learn emptiness cannot fill the emptiness.
If you’re reading this now while gasping for light through your gloominess, hear me: Truth is not a place. It’s a Person whose bloodstained hands can and will carve a way through your darkness before you even know how to call for help. Stop searching out there. He’s already here.
—For the One who found me in my mess - His name is Jesus. Call to Him... then listen closely. He bends low to hear the broken.
