- Still His

In my study of what it means to bear Christ's image, I have become amazed by the early disciples' ability to walk in the closeness of His likeness. The disciples' lives appeared marked by simplicity—humble in means yet mighty in power because the anointing rested upon them. In their surrender, they experienced unsurpassed greatness.
Of course, this revelation makes me wonder: Have we left Christ behind in our pursuit of progress?
Today, denominational divisions often distract us from what truly matters. But the early Church knew no factions. Their focus was singular—Christ, the Anointed One who came to save, transform, and empower.
Two thousand years later, we should be walking in even greater authority. Jesus Himself declared, "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do" (John 14:12). By now, healing should flow effortlessly. Demons should flee at the whisper of His name in us. The Church should be an unstoppable force.
Yet, where is that power?
Some may argue we have advanced beyond the early disciples. And in some ways, we have—bigger buildings, grander titles, more programs. But have we truly progressed in what matters—preaching in the anointing, walking in Christ's likeness, moving in spiritual authority?
Or have we traded substance for spectacle?
My heart truly cries out to all to come. Let us return to what matters. Let us seek more of Christ, not our glory. For only in His image do we find true greatness.
