Written By Angela Doreen (2009)
Everywhere I turned—
chaos loomed,
dragging me deep
into the silence of the night,
where dark clouds gathered
And the mist devoured all hope.
Flashes of memory—
sliding by like shadows:
ancient pain,
lost love,
fear,
loneliness.
And the drink—
my only comfort,
my false friend.
Then suddenly—
a change.
A tiny crack appeared.
A single ray of light
pierced through my soul,
flooding me with
ecstasy,
peace,
a love i'd never known.
And there—
after so long—
Hope stood near,
waiting.
Reflection: From Shadows to Salvation
There were moments in life when the weight of the past, the silence of pain, and the false
Comforts we've clung to began to crumble—and in that space, I felt the Divine break through to save me.
Darkness to Light reflects my journey, transitioning from despair to hope, from spiritual chaos to a love that truly saves.
Salvation began with a ray of light breaking the hold of darkness, and that light is Jesus. He found me when I couldn't see myself, and with a three-word invitation, 'Come follow me', my life began to change.
